Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Peel
In honor of Halloween, I present to you the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Peel. Here’s the trick: It’s an age-fighting super exfoliant that promotes soft, supple, radiant skin. And the treat is that it smells delicious. Pumpkin enzyme naturally dissolves dead surface cells and stimulates cellular turnover, while vitamin A protects, repairs and nourishes. Just apply a very thin layer to face and neck post-shower and leave on for one to five minutes. Rinse, pat dry and observe the rejuvenated skin. buy it here. Photo courtesy of Peter Thomas Roth

This dress is my obsession du jour. It is beyond adorable and incredibly chic. Given that grey has been a predominant hue in my wardrobe for many many years, this pinstripe print fits right in with my casual-chic ensembles. The bell-shaped, a-line silhouette is playful and cute but the subdued color balances the design to make it stylish and sophisticated. I love that it’s feminine and fun without being too girly. This is a perfect example of a more grown-up version of the babydoll dress. I don’t want to look like I’m in grade school and jumpers and a-line frocks can often fall into that trap. Not the case with this beauty from Steven Alan. It’s just perfect.
New York designer Amy Schimel is one of my indie fashion favorites. With well-edited collections, she creates easy-to-wear stylish looks in pretty fabrics. My first in-depth look into the world of Myth & Ritual was for a feature that ran last spring in Metro.Pop magazine. I’ve been a fan ever since and I’m smitten with the upcoming Spring 2008 Collection. The Button Front Sack Dress in soft jersey fabric is among my top picks from the new collex. I also love the Graphite-hued silk charmeuse Shirtdress and the Pleated Dashiki Blouse in a Scribble Print cotton voile. Click “Read More” below to see more photos. For more info on the line, click
Reed diffusers are a dime a dozen. I remember searching for some to give as holiday gifts a few years ago and nobody knew what I was talking about. Now you can get them anywhere. But this is the ultimate diffuser, chic beyond belief and begging to be noticed. Top notes of strawberry and blackberry, a hint of citrus, violets and roses, and a touch of wine tannins blend to create this luxurious home fragrance. Housing this amazing concoction in a standard diffuser container just wouldn’t do. Instead, the luxe scent comes in a beautiful bottle to be poured in a pretty glass decanter with vines to spread the fragrance. For the friend who has everything, this is an incredibly chic gift idea. buy it
This dress is perfection. I’m a die-hard Vince fan and this is at the very top of my Vince wishlist. The epitome of casual chic, this super-soft cashmere dress is absolutely adorable. It’s all in the details for this design. I love love love the ruched empire waist and understated bubble skirt—too cute—and with three-quarter sleeves and a funnel neck it’s anything but basic. Most importantly, it’s a comfortable design. Must-have in my book. photo courtesy of eLuxury
It’s a bit chilly outside (by SoCal standards) so I have cozy sweaters and jackets on the brain. I discovered the line Amo & Bretti while working on an assignment for C Magazine last fall. I fell in love with the luxe knits immediately. I recently scored two great pieces at a sample sale but I believe that you can never have too many comfy yet stylish knits... so I’m already on the hunt for some Amo & Bretti pieces for fall and winter. The Shila Cashmere Cardigan is a gorgeous design that would look fantastic with high-waist and wide-leg pants, as well as skinny jeans. The juxtaposition of the fitted waistline and voluminous lantern sleeves brings this cashmere cardigan to a level unmatched by traditional cardigans. photo courtesy of Amo & Bretti
This is a beautiful bag with timeless appeal. Vanessa Bruno’s Pebbled Leather Bag in black is an instant classic, with super-luxe leather, understated details, and a comfortable shape. I love the subtle silver hardware, simple straps, bucket shape, and slightly gathered zippered closure. I change my bags often but this baby goes with everything and can be carried for many seasons to come. photo courtesy of La Garconne
While perusing the stylish offerings on Refinery29Shops.com, this Tivoli tabletop radio grabbed my attention thanks to its chic design and cool color. The retro-looking radio has all the bells and whistles that this gadget-loving gal needs in a table radio: FM tuner with 5:1 tuning ratio and, more importantly, an auxiliary input for the iPod I can’t live without. You can file this one under affordable luxe, as the price tag is a mere 120 bucks—a bargain, in my opinion. Also available in black and silver, so you can buy one for the bedroom, living room and the office. buy it
It’s obvious that I am fashion-obsessed. I’ve also been known to latch onto certain designers, infusing my wardrobe with at least one item per season and writing about said designer as often as possible. This holds true for wunderkind designer Rory Edelman. Earlier this year I was introduced to the line by Amber, owner of the boutique Blonde LA in Santa Monica. I’ve since become a full-fledged Rory fan because her designs are incredibly comfortable and the color palette is always gorgeous. My latest RB acquisition is the Lupe V-neck Tunic in a magnificently vibrant silk print. But I already have my eye on some pieces from the upcoming holiday/resort collection, including the look shown here. Visit RoryBeca.com for more info. And, yes, that model is tattooed, exhibiting further proof of Rory’s super-cool, youthful style.
This is the ultimate collection for candle lovers and Jo Malone junkies (such as myself). Accoutrements include a key for the jewel box, Jo Malone matches and a candle snuffer. Available in November at JoMalone.com, Jo Malone Shops and Bergdorf Goodman.
