In celebration of their 40th anniversary, Diptyque recently launched an enticing trio of unisex colognes. Developed by perfumer Olivier Pescheux, these ultra-luxe concoctions are housed in simple glass bottles (in signature Diptyque style). If you're a die-hard Diptyque fan, you'll be thrilled to wear these amazing scents. And if, by some odd twist of fate, you've yet to enter the glorious world of Diptyque, consider this a must-accept invitation. Pick your poison... L'Eau de L'Eau is based on the first scented water from Diptyque, created by Desmond Knox-Leet in 1968. L'Eau is a blend of green mandarine, cinnamon, geranium, sandalwood, rose, and cloves. I find this scent to be the most masculine of the bunch so I plan to make it my husband's new cologne. L'Eau de Neroli, "an ode to the sun, the dolce vita of summer with siestas in the shade of a southern Italian orchard," is a sensual blend of bergamot, orange blossom, Egyptian geranium, white musk and cedar wood. And L'Eau des Hesperides, my personal fave, embodies a green freshness with citrus top notes including bitter orange, blended with red thyme, rosemary and mint.
